Perform[cb] Launches New Imperfect Produce Affiliate Program
Ignite OPM is pumped to welcome the Imperfect Produce Affiliate Program to the Ignite client family!
Fighting the good fight against food waste, Imperfect Produce strives to find homes for the “ugly produce” of the world. The company sources these misshapen fruits and veggies directly from farms. By delivering directly to clients’ doors, the company is able to offer prices 30% lower than the average grocery store. Imperfect Produce’s CEO, Ben Simon, first noticed massive food waste in the cafeteria while attending the University of Maryland. From there Ben founded the Food Recovery Network (FRN), a nonprofit whose mission was to prevent waste on college campuses.
While working to build FRN, Ben met his co-founder, Ben Chesler, and together they scaled the nonprofit nationally. The rest is history. Ben and Ben founded Imperfect Produce in August 2015. Soon after the pair found their third and final founding member, Aleks Strub, in 2016. Imperfect Produce offers a seasonal menu, as well as fruit and veggie staples year-round. In doing so, subscribers are able to get a variety of fresh produce on a weekly basis.
Ignite OPM Account Manager, Jen Sherman, and Media Manager, Alex Howell, are especially excited for the launch of the Imperfect Produce program. Knowing that the brand is growing rapidly, Jen is looking to expand Imperfect’s ongoing discount availability and promotions for the brand’s high-quality products, such as the large and extra large organic boxes. Additionally, the Ignite team hopes to help Imperfect develop their annual payment option while remaining thoughtful with incrementality.
